Lauren Jane Salt is a multidisciplinary artist based in Boorloo, Western Australia. Working primarily with clay and organic matter, her practice approaches material as a site of inquiry, shaped by inherited narratives,  processes, and mythic resonance. In 2025, she presented her debut solo exhibition Crossing Portals at Lightworks Gallery, following her participation in the Indian Ocean Craft Triennial (IOTA24) with VOLIM. Alongside her studio practice, she runs  a ceramics hand-building & sculpture studio  within her studio at the shared artists space in Farmer Street, North Perth. Here she fosters an inclusive, community  space for individuals of diverse abilities and backgrounds to explore clay.
