Lauren Jane Salt is a multidisciplinary artist based in Boorloo, Western Australia. Working primarily with clay and organic matter, her practice approaches material as a site of inquiry, shaped by inherited narratives, tactile processes, and mythic resonance. In 2025, she presented her debut solo exhibition Crossing Portals at Lightworks Gallery, following her participation in the Indian Ocean Craft Triennial (IOTA24) with VOLIM. Alongside her studio practice, she runs SCS, a ceramic sculpture and hand-building studio within the shared Farmer Street Studios in North Perth, where she fosters an inclusive, collaborative space for students of diverse abilities and backgrounds to explore clay.
