Lauren Jane Salt is a multidisciplinary artist based in Boorloo (Perth), Western Australia. Her practice is primarily centred in ceramic sculpture, exploring themes of mythology and anthropology, approaching material as a site of inquiry shaped by inherited narratives, ritual processes, and mythic resonance. Alongside her studio practice, Salt runs LS. Ceramic Studio within the shared artist studios on Farmer Street, North Perth, where she facilitates weekly hand-building and sculpture classes for a diverse community of participants, welcoming individuals of varied abilities and experience levels.
